Dosa Palace is the latest project from influential Indian chef Nageswararao (Nagesh) Relangi. Originally hailing from Southern India, Nagesh has over fifteen years’ experience in high quality food across a number of styles ranging from classical French to Chinese. Although Nagesh began cooking in Hyderabad, India, his talent took him to internationally-renowned hotels in Dubai.
His first Australian project in 2007 was a small but successful takeaway shop in Footscray. Following this,Nagesh established the fine-dining Hyderabad Inn in 2011, which was transformed into the Tarneit Dosa Palace in October 2017.
Passion and innovation
Dosa Palace was founded on the back of a genuine passion for all Indian food, with special emphasis on the two staples of south Indian cuisine: the dosa and the biryani. Nagesh’s passion for their history and flavour of saw him become the first chef to introduce authentic dosas to west Melbourne; this pioneering attitude is just one of reasons why he boasts so many loyal customers today. Similarly, Dosa Palace’s biryanis give diners the chance to taste authentic south Indian food in Melbourne.
